I was told there are up-dated every time the car is in for a service, spend a little more and get it serviced, because £135.00 for 10 minutes work out at £810.00 an hour ?? That's almost the labour for a Clutch replacement ??? (not parts) |

There are some Independents out there who have the capability to do software updates and don't charge the earth. May be worth checking around. John

Yes and yes I'm afraid, if you can find an independent that can download updates cheaper then hang on to him, offer him your body even as he's worth his weight in whatever |

Some software updates are classed as upgrades and are payable. I had one in my old 07 plate and was quoted half hour labour. |

Mine was in for a specific software update. I was having the known issue with the trip computer resetting itself and the fob was sometimes ejecting itself. So, yes, I noticed a difference as all the above were resolved. |

So they could solve some existing issues. I wonder if there's any benefit to request an upgrade if indeed "everything works" though... |
