Just beware of a tractor with slurry tanker parked on overhead bridges, CG will be out to take the shine off your trip.

I've seen the average caravan in the UK and it seems quite small compared to the massive things the "grey nomads" (retired tourers) drag around Australia with V8 Landcruisers. CG would love sitting behind one cruising at 80 kph in a 110/130 zone. They are about as long as semi trailers and all up would be well over 5 tonne. It's an epidemic here. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the van. |

You need to see our roads to understand the caravan size over here. Think of your smaller, off the beaten track road..... Yep, that's our major road network. |

Yes I've driven on your roads, what seems to be one way but is really two way country lanes with no verge and hedges on each side so you can't see a thing....and you are all doing 60mph on them. I was crapping myself. |

One of the downsides of being an old country - the roads were designed for horse and cart. |

Many farmers do, indeed, seem to believe that to be the case... |

We bought a new bailey caravan 2009 but because of work comittments we sold it 2011 I was very pleased how it held its price. A two year old car would have lots thounds.
