This is what I've builded on my FL2, I wanted to share it with you guys to thank this forum for all the news and suggestions, in particularly a thanks to LAR.


PS: I had no trolley available to show on my rearview cam

Nice. Only thing is why place the reversing camera so low? The ones I've seen usually has it placed near the boot release. Phil

Here some reason why I did place the camera so low:

1. I didn't want to drill any holes in visible parts (just in case you know ...)
2. I saw some camera placed on the top or inside the rear window, but I didn't like the aesthetic of it
3. If I had istalled the camera on the bumber, I tought it was a bit dangerous, here in rome people "bounce" their car into the parking space
4. I just need a camera to check what is going on when my sensors continuosly bleep and I don't understand what there is behind (I try not to watch the camera much when I'm reversing)

Btw the view is nice, obviously I don't get a wonderful panorama but it does the job nicely

I've took 3 months to get all the material, test it and install it ... working on the weekends

I'd like to see where did you installed the Fit-PC2 system.
How much is it take to boot up?
When you leave the car and lock it, the system has a properly XP shutdown (standby/hibernation) or it cuts power suddenly and next time it needs to boot again?

The DVB module and the Fitpc are installed at the back of the glove box.
Thanks to the M2-ATX, the system goes into hibernation when I turn off the car.
It normally takes 30 sec or less to resume when I start the engine, at that time, I'm reversing, so the camera comes up.

Let's say it's decently fast

Really like the system much better than the one in the HSE you should try and encourage Landrover to install it. Simon
