A lot of these claimed lumens are inaccurate. Still good value though. |

I have no direct experience of this, but I have to say it's ringing warning bells for me. Firstly the suppler is in Hong Kong and has a seller rating which could be better. The torch itself almost certainly isn't made by CREE - the CREE XM-L is just the LED, so the quality of the rest of the components may not be up to scratch. Plus, CREE seem to quote a maximum output of 1040 lumens for the XM-L, whilst this torch claims 1600. And finally there's the price - if it seems too good, etc. But if you buy one and it proves to be brilliant (forgive the pun) please do let us know! |

Anything on eBay quoting the word "Cree" may well be rubbish, Cree themselves have LED's which they categorise according to output, so a particular LED, lets say A1 for example will have classifications according to output, lets say A -D and anything else is sub standard.

I suspect that the only reliable way to go into four figures is to use a pair of LEDs, which Fellows (see above) does (In fact his lamp contains four Crees).

I have had a T7 Lenser for about 14 months now. Fantastic little torch, which fits in a jacket pocket, unlike a 2D maglite. Partway through it's 2nd winter, and still on the batteries supplied with it. I have some aaa rechargeables ready, as i use it a lot, but no sign of needing them yet. |

Change the batteries quite regularly, they wont be dead and will do other tasks kids toys, tv remote etc etc. the torches need newish batteries to really shine, my p6 looses a bit of spread pattern and range when 1/2 used batteries are in. still useful but its pitch black round here not a streetlight to be seen so never enough light from a torch. At work

I received Armytek Predator as a gift over a year ago, I liked it so much I bought another light from Armytek. I think it's a great tactical light, has a rugged matt body, comes with a lanyard, and it really illuminates well at good distances. I don't have much experience with all the different companies, but I like Armytek and can recommend this one. |
