The Festive Season

So Christmas is upon us once again. Please share your plans for Christmas, here's my input:

Christmas Eve

Off to Frankie and Bennies in the afternoon for some grub (nothing too heavy) then we must prepare the house as we are hosting dinner this year (9 folks but should fit just fine in the Tardis Laughing )

The evening shall be spent watching TV with a mince pie and a measure of Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Thumbs Up

Christmas Day

After presents, we are hosting dinner which shall be roast turkey with all the trimmings and a rather nice bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape red wine

In the evening we shall visit other family (my Dad doesn't drink so he's driving) and there will be time for the mandatory Christmas Doctor Who episode

Boxing Day

Off out for a nice meal at a restaurant in the countryside. Lovely locally sourced food washed down with a pint or two of Guinness! Thumbs Up

Later on we shall visit other family.

What are you guys up to? (I am braced for ridiculous answers as well as serious one's Laughing ) LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Christmas Eve.
Playing Santa which invariably will roll straight into Christmas Day.

Christmas Day, both sets of parents here...oh joy, no mass anymore, I fell out with my invisible friend long ago Laughing
Turkey and a ham to cook along with all the trimmings in the salubrious surroundings of my newly decorated dining room, so it will all taste of paint and they won't notice any cock ups.

Boxing Day will consist of various tools being put to use fixing all the Chinese crap that has broken, playing Chess, yes she wants a chess set and going deaf with the iPod speaker system. Mrs T is getting something nice so that will keep her quiet and hopefully I can imbibe of my malt.

Have a good one Doc Thumbs Up

We're hoping to have a great family Christmas - our second in Cornwall, seeing both of our children, grandson, sister-in-law, nieces, nephew and prospective in-laws (daughter gets wed in March). Plenty of good grub and drink, visiting Christmas Eve concert, late-night church service (don't forget THAT's what it's all about really Bow down ).

Don't wish to be a party pooper but please remember this is the world wide web and all sorts maybe looking. If your plans involve leaving your home empty then don't post that fact for all to see Thumbs Up

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all, with plenty of mud under the wheels and hopefully a proper summer:whistle: Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Mine - 2014 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport Matt Black

Our Christmas starts on Sunday 23rd: Early drive down to Stansted, collect son and his beautiful Norwegian beloved off flight from Oslo. Excellent home-made chicken pie dinner courtesy of Jamie's Dinners (in no way are they made in 30 minutes!).
24th: Collect local bred Vale of Belvoir free-range turkey bought from local family butcher. Then take son & all in to Nottingham for Christmas Eve UK shopathon at UK prices instead of Norwegian (they can afford it Wink ). Indian take-away in the evening with music or DVD movie.
Christmas Day 25th: Daughter, partner plus 2 grandsons join us all from Lincoln for traditional Christmas meal featuring aforesaid turkey . Gifts all round, followed by a family village walk (if I can drag them all out).
26th: Day of rest plus maybe another walk, or maybe some local visiting. Bubble & Squeak plus cold cuts and pickles for main meal.
27th: Free day for son to visit friends etc. Restaurant Meal in the evening.
28th: Back to Stansted.... 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

That thought occurred to me too. Which is why I do not reveal my exact location on here and as an added bonus I am bluffing because we are in fact staying in 24/7 with shotguns and grenades at the ready for would be burglars.

If you are a burglar and reading this (the ability to read is quite something these days for some burglars) and you think this is a double bluff, then you should know that we do the place up like Home Alone if out so try elsewhere Rolling with laughter

On a more festive note, seasons greetings to all and enjoy whatever it is you do. I have got a bloody exam on EU law in January so make the most of it me thinks. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Well... we're having friends to pre-xmas dinner on Saturday. Friends we've known for years and always a lively debate, sometimes passionate, but always stimulating. We have a friend with us xmas eve. He's recently been diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus and is a bit down.
Christmas Day at home with Molly the dog, and Meg our friend's dog cos he can't take her to his son's for christmas.
To the f Censored g mother-in-law's for boxing day to distribute bounty to nieces and nephews... return for well-earned bottle of decent burgundy, Davidoff cigar & cognac, walk the dog in the slush ... thence to bed
To Wales for New Year (it's quiet, dark and peaceful)...Then the world kicks in again (Mayans notwithstanding) subsequent to that... CCNA ahoy! ...

Be true to yourself. That way happiness lies...
