The frozen water bottle.

I always thought it was because crystals form quicker when there is a "seed" for them to start on.

Ie normally a dirt particle.

The example works well on demineralised water. Just flick the bottle, and ice starts to form at the impact site, this spreads rapidly as the ice formed seems to seed the new ice formation. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
