My brake lights recently stopped working and it seems that only a landlord dealer or an approved repairer can fix them (took it to a local auto-electrician who told me it needed special tools to get to the brake switch).

Has anyone found a good landrover mechanic on the NSW central coast as I'm trying to avoid a trip into Sydney?

I have had no problems at all with them and find them helpful and good. Always best to phone, book in and describe the problem.
