Olympics - Are you bothered?

I am watching the opening ceremony and will watch certain contests such as diving, cycling, rowing and the main athletic events.

The question is, are you into it or not bothered? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

like yourself Doctor I will have selective viewing, but am looking forward to it and hope it all goes well.

a bit annoyed at the north/south Korea situation and can understand their anger............not a good start !!

Iain

ps my mother passed away early this morning so I have other things on my mind at the moment, but the olympics may give me some light relief over the next week.

I'll be watching some/most of it, I also thought the opening ceremony went very well so congratulations to them for that.
What a shame some people love to knock our country back and take great pleasure in any mistakes that happen rather than give a thumbs up to the commitment shown in making this a good event. I suppose those people who watched it felt disappointed that the opening ceremony went so well. Rolling Eyes
I hate the 'American' type patriotism, but we could learn a little from them and at least support the country we see fit to live in.
Yes, it is a lot of money spent but business is done before, during the event and for some time after so who knows, some good may well come out of it.

Impressive stuff, shows what British talent/industry can do. Without it the whole world could have laughed and remembered forever Britian for that pathetic opening ceremony in 2012.

Perhaps a giant chicken surrounded by golden wheat should have emerged from the ground as a celebration of British farming .

This is going to be a year of food shortages so start being nice to us farmers. droughts in USA, wet rotting crops in Europe

Well done Great Britain, so far, so good. Crowd at todays cycling road race has to be seen to be believed. Quite astonishing Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

10 chickens were in the line up, think they may be at the top of the shot, most pictures show 10 white geese

Just tuned to ch 302. Info button says 'Olympic Football, coverage of mens and womens singles and doubles' Rolling with laughter

In all seriousness, fair do's to Auntie Beeb, the coverage has been excellent Thumbs Up

I can't disagree with that Doctor. Splendid viewing and very proud of our athletes. The facilities all seem world class as well.
