mpg

I had a 62 plate HSE auto this week. A courtesy car from Hunters with only 1900 on the clock. Had a shortish M1 trip, and playing about with it, i found a needle's width off 70 and it was showing 40---42 mpg. I thought that was pretty good.

1800 rpm seems to be best at whatever speed that selects on the road. Seems to be 68 mph on motorways. TD4 auto.

2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver

Anything over 80 starts to drink, speeds between 70-80 don't seem to make much difference. Pick a number. New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC
Old: Freelander2 XS 09 Plate - Zermatt Silver with ST3 remap (eco map), Garmin 1490T Sat Nav, Rear Seat Entertainment kit

Think my MPG sensor thingy must be knackard like.

Drove to Leeds over Xmas from Durham, roads were quite so stuck to an average of 65-70mph and did a 140 mile rond trip. The car still reads 26.3 MPG

.............and yes I do realise there is 6 gears in a Freelander Very Happy
