Window switch panel removal

As the title says, are the small panels that holds the window switches on all the doors easy to remove? I fancy taking mine off and wrapping them in carbon fibre weave or something like that. I just think they look a bit cheap and nasty as they come. Anyone done something along these lines?

Good links, thanks for that. I think they will need a couple of reads in order to orientate the various bits, but it just looks like screws and clips, so shouldn't be too much of an issue
