Tweaksbury great for stopping off half way back from Cornwall when you need to find a tyre fitter after sitting on the side of the M5 for 2 hours in the Censored down rain, nice Chinese there too, though not much else, especially if its rained heavily Laughing

Might look in to stop offs, on way down and back

Tewkesbury is very wet at the moment. There are some nice cotswold towns on the way down from up north

The wife doesn't like doing overnight stops as you travel for 3 hours, setup for a night and pack and set off for another 3 hours but she says it feels like your traveling for two days to get there Laughing

I'll have to look towards a couple of nights on way down and same again on way back, if we don't do it in one run with breaks

What's the best site for a couple of days break on way to longleat from leeds and visa versa Idea

Moreton in the Marsh is good, good access, scenic route and not out of your way, easy to walk in to town, play area for the Liitl'luns, Oxford you have Bladon Chains at Woodstock.

Just been looking at Moreton in marsh looks a nice site

Thinking of either using that as a base and explore the Cotswolds and a day trip to Longleat or do a week there and a week at longleat

So what's around Moreton in Marsh to do?

Your been a great help guys Thumbs Up

Hobourne cotswold is a good inbetween point too, just down the road from me in Cirencester. Good place for family's and kids, pool, play park etc. it's in the cotwold water park, loads of nice walks around there

Moreton is ok, there is an arboretum up the road, few Cotswolds shops tea rooms. Old folk love it, especially on market days. Not much for the kids tho

Cotswold wildlife park is fairly close, haven't been there for a while but it was good when we did. Bleinham palace is around there too, never been, but want to. (so if you have some spare room in the awning!!)

If you want the Cotswold Wildlife Park the CC Site at Burford is next door.

If you choose Moreton you don't want a pitch by the road, it's ok at a weekend but a lot of heavy stuff uses that road during the week.

If you want to be in the Longleat area, Cheddar CC site is not so far away, and would make a good back up! 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten.
