I had an 8 tonne tractor in a 180 spin the other morning vehicles driving through the floods dripped water along the road and up the hill, so black ice on the hill, I knew about it from the outward journey (the tractor was spinning all four wheels going up the hill) . On returning my side of the road was dry and ice free until I drove round a parked car, ventured onto the ice and quite slowly and artfully executed a zero point turn.

agreed.. i know a few cocky 4x4 drivers who think they are invincible, they are complacent and so drive like idiots in snow etc, giving the rest of us a bad name and putting everyone else on the road at risk! |

What annoys me is that the Emergency Services had to walk up the hill. It's a 1:3. They couldn't drive up it.
