I had an 8 tonne tractor in a 180 spin the other morning Shocked vehicles driving through the floods dripped water along the road and up the hill, so black ice on the hill, I knew about it from the outward journey (the tractor was spinning all four wheels going up the hill) . On returning my side of the road was dry and ice free until I drove round a parked car, ventured onto the ice and quite slowly and artfully executed a zero point turn.
no harm done luckily, although the guy I drove past must have had a shock.
Tractors are fairly pants on ice especially when fitted with 650mm wide tyres.
.
The usual amount of chaos has ensued in the patch of flooded road, 3 fire engines and the air ambulance were called to rescue two disabled people from their drowned car. A new jag blocked the road for a while as it stalled in auto so couldn't be towed At work

winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race

agreed.. i know a few cocky 4x4 drivers who think they are invincible, they are complacent and so drive like idiots in snow etc, giving the rest of us a bad name and putting everyone else on the road at risk! Rolling Eyes

What annoys me is that the Emergency Services had to walk up the hill. It's a 1:3. They couldn't drive up it.
I just hope no innocent person elsewhere in the area also needed Emergency aid at the same time.

I hope they send this Censored head a large bill and give him a big bo Censored ing Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
