No but seriously with all the issues I've had with the DPF they tell me there are differences with the newer versions of the software it would just be nice to know a little bit more detail. As consumers ok we don't have the indepth technical knowledge of the engineers who build these systems but I would assume that we have a certain amount of intelligence.

its like the apple thing. for those who dont want to know how it works... it just works as apple thinks it should. for those who want to know they can dig a little deeper to try to understand. You aint going to convince them to change anything but at least you can try to understand whats happening... if you aren't busy at the weekend...

Nope... For vacuum tubes (if that's what you meant by "valves"), it suits better punched cards. Laughing

Seriously, if you really need what version is, the quickest way is through OBD port, like I've said, as Land Rover will only install you the latest version and don't care to read and tell you which version you have.

I'm with Alex here. Leave well alone. You could have asked your dealer what had changed. You still can. They will have a record. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
