On my HSE the mirror always dip to a position selected by me

I found out today if I reverse a little faster the go back to normal view setting till I slow down Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It could be designed to do that so you can see the kerbs in the distance then it gives you more time to avoid them.  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Did you read the note from the Handbook at page 95?
Anyway, here it is:
Note: If the vehicle speed exceeds 7 km/h (4 mph) in reverse the mirrors will return to their normal driving position for enhanced visibility.

A book, no bigger than a hand , collecting dust somewhere on a library shelf...
It has inside some strange technical writings and drawings about that big boxy thing that sits on our driveway...
And imagine that: sometimes the boxy thing surprises us with its (strange) behaviour, reminding us to get that book and (re)read it...
It's a vicious circle, I know...

I have one of those - but it has mostly blank pages. Obviously LR have realised we don't read 'em so cut down on printing costs.

I have a Freelander 2 TD4 S, but the mirrors do not dip in reverse (although the hand book says they should).

Are the dippy mirrors only a HSE thingy, or can we all enjoy them? A Land Rover is for life... or I thought so.

HSE only, maybe on other models with optional memory seats? At work

Then the question maybe; is there a module / setting to have them dip, because quite frankly having to dip them manually everytime is a pain in the bottom, and not dipping them has already cost me a new (=2) back tyre.  A Land Rover is for life... or I thought so.

I'm not sure what comes first in LR world, but, HSE have this feature (reverse dipping door mirrors) - and - so do models fitted with electric adjustable driver and front passenger seats

I used to think there was something wrong with ours when I saw them going up and down the day we picked ours up. The dipping I think is a great feature, but twisting up and down when you get to about 4mph is just annoying! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

That's the problem with car manufacturers - so many different specifications for different markets at different times that it is impossible to say at any given time what is and what isn't in a given model's specification. Has anyone done "Mastermind" on car specs They'd need to a genius to collate that data and remember/recall it all for Magnus.
