Can you increase seat height by block up manual seat in GS

All

I find the manual seat rather too low in my GS. It I jack it up then I find I am too close to the steering wheel as it tilts/pivots rather than simply going up. I am 6'2" tall-if that has any relevance.

Has anyone successfully blocked up their drivers seat? It appears to me that there are several areas where spacer could be put between some of the bolts and the frame to raise it up.

All thoughts appreciated, Rob I was a happy Freelander 1 owner for 10 years, now a happy Freelander 2 owner.

As it tilts up and moves forwards towards the steering wheel, slide the seat backwards, that with the adjustable steering wheel Id have thought you could get a decent position?

Problem these days the seat runners have the seat belt pre tensioners incorporated in them so messing about with the fixings might affect their operation??

At 6ft 2" I would have thought you were too high rather than too low unless you like the reclined right back driving position?

Alternatively you could get an HSE that has more seat adjust options.

I have spent quite a lot of time with various seat positions: the confort part is actually related to an old knee problem.

I really need the seat higher: hence the question about spacing it up. I was a happy Freelander 1 owner for 10 years, now a happy Freelander 2 owner.
