Do I need to preheat the coils?

Hi guys... I have a diesel... maybe I am just old fashioned or whatever, but I have always heated my coils before turning the key all the way.. now I have a button...

this may be a case of RTFM, but its outside... and its cold...

Just press the button. If the glow plugs need to come on they will do automatically and the car starting will be delayed until the right temp is reached. If the glow plugs are not required there is no delay to the car starting.

Even if there is a delay to starting it is minimal.

Not in the manual Sad
The maximum time you have to wait from pressing the button to it turning over, and you don't even have to keep your finger on the button. Just press, let go and wait Thumbs Up
The wording "Maximum Cranking Times" is a bit strangely worded, it means "Cranking Delay Time".

If you are concerned you could always give them a double hit.
press the start button witout putting your foot on the pedals, then do it again immediately after with your foot on the pedals.
Not really nessesary here in sunny Manchester, but I suspect it can get cooler in Sweden. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
