New Aston Martin DB9

New shape DB9 I see Thumbs Up

I like Ferrari's, the odd Porsche and Lamborghini's but those cars just make you look like a flash git. An Aston is far better looking IMO and is so damn cool Cool

Sophistication on wheels. If I hit the lotto jackpot I would be heading straight to the nearest Aston dealer to order one or perhaps the new Vanquish. Bow down

Totally agree Thumbs Up

The fact an Aston could prove to be a second slower to 60 than an equivalent Ferrari or Lambo is meaningless to me. I have driven a DB9 on a race track and not only is it far better looking than it's rivals and cooler, but it also manages to be comfortable and relaxed whilst blasting around a track without sacrificing agility and composure. While I agree it is a beautiful car, I have to disagree it is more beautiful than a Ferrari 458.
I have driven a 360, a 599 a 458 spider and a 458, and IMO there is no better road car at the moment.
If my numbers came up
1) F458 spider
2) Aston One 77
3) Agera R
4) RRS Overfinch
5) Cobra
6) A motorhome for me, the wife & kids because we couldn't afford a house after that lot ! Shocked _________________

It's amazing how AM have improved in the last few years. I had a loan of a 1995 DB7 and it was truly terrible. It was mostly Ford, and the key was the same as my Ford Transit, but with a stuck on logo.
I borrowed a wiring loom manual from AM, and was surprised to see it was actually a Jag XJS book - The loom was nicked from Jag.
I lust after a DBS (in case my lottery cars above are in for a service) Thumbs Up _________________

The 458 isn't a brilliant looking car for me. It is nice but still some way off the Ferrari 355 for looks IMO and not a patch on the Aston.

The thing is, no matter how much better the Ferrari is to drive or how good looking it is, it still has the flash git effect. An Aston Martin just makes the owner look cool and refined.

Interesting fact for the day...that DB9 is actually a Virage with a DB9 badge.

As the Virage was such a poor seller, they dropped it from the line up, but what they actually did is drop the ageing DB9, and rename the Virage.

Basically, if someone bought a Virage it would have cost them 160k 6 months ago. By a DB9 now, costs 130k, and what you get is the 160k Virage with a DB9 badge, only much cheaper. Shocked the joys of knowing an Aston designer Whistle

Totally agree with the Aston comments, much classier and understated than the over the top ferrari's, lambo's etc. Astons have elegance, something which the rest lack. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

For exclusivity, looks and sound it has to be Aston Martin One 77.

Bow down

Trouble is, I don't like leaving my humble freely within ten feet of another car, for one of these I would need to hire the SAS to leave it at Sainsburys Rolling with laughter _________________

There's always something new around the corner, or something you hadn't seen or thought of.

Nothing so spectacular for me.
Jaguar XK150 S Drophead.
Loved it as a boy and still do today.
A fine car steeped in history.

Or to be totally silly a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta.
