After 5 1/2 years of ownership, I had a bloddy great rock hit the screen on Saturday, which resulted in a 9" crack! So off to Autoglass I went to arrange for a new one to be fitted.

So, I asked........ will it be a Genuine screen or one from another source? The lady at Autoglass said it is normally an after market screen, but she can put in a request with the insurance to see if they will pay the extra for a genuine screen.

I got the phone call this afternoon to say that a new genuine screen has been ordered as it was less than £150 more than the after market screen.

Also the insurance said they didn't have a problem with paying for a new one as the car had it's original screen!!
