I have never had the warning for regeneration of the DPF and the car gets regular runs out of town but it does seem to be associated with exhaust gases and system with the reference to 'black soot' when thy replaced the cracked pipe. Oh for the days when you could fix a car yourself with a toolbox and the latest copy of Car Mechanics. Showing my age now. Bryan |

According to bjb134's profile he has a 2010 TD4 which is unlikely to have a DPF filter as they only became standard on 2011 MY vehicles.

Thanks for that. Your right, my car is a 2010 TD4. If I did the disconnect battery idea, would this clear any fault codes in the car memory. With the car in the dealers next week its not something I would want to do at this stage. Just shows you are never too old to learn Bryan |

Not 100% sure about whether fault codes are cleared from memory. Probably best to avoid the battery disconnect option unless the stop and restart options fails. |

Yes I will leave well alone until it goes to the dealer. I will post what they find. It may add to the general knowledge pool on this forum. Bryan |

All errors lead to a malfunction from the turbo system.
