Suspension Spacers for the FL2

I am trying to find a set of 2 inch suspension spacers to fit my FL2. Can someone help me with that and are there any serious disadvantages with installing them? I'll be driving my FL2 in Malta where there are no highways and will need a bit more than the standard clearance for some moderate offroading Smile

You won't have much luck finding them anywhere, however you can custom make them from polyurethane. There are some technical issues with anything over 25mm on the front, have a look at this thread first; https://www.freel2.com/forum/post131250.html#131250. I have recently made a set for my car, 25 mm for the front and 30mm on the back.

You should also consider fitting 245/70R17 tyres, they are much better off-road and give you an additional 25mm ground clearance. With the bigger tyres and spacers you should be able to gain around 2 inches.

Hey Strah, That made some very interesting reading and certainly a great deal for me to absorb since Im all new to this sort of thing. Guess I can do this once the car is here in Malta. I have a good friend that's an Engineer and should have no trouble making a set of Polyurethane spacers. Would you by any chance have a template handy? That would save me loads of trouble. And you had no trouble just fitting the 25mm front and 30mm back with no other modifications made?

It is possible to determine the dimension of the spacers.
Thanks
