This was in the summer when towing my caravan in was on the motorway doing a steady 65mph, not a problem but i was getting 18mpg . On my old car i had to lock the car in to 4x4, so my thinkng was snow gravel setting would do this. i re reset the mpg after this and i was getting 25mpg.

So i left it on, had the garage inspect the car after my hols and they found no faults, and could understand why, bar blaming me and the caravan.

They said the TR setting remapped the accelerator pedel and reduced the responsivness.

PS. this was shown to me in the LRE, set the rev's to 2500 switch the TR setting and keeping the foot in exact position the rev's alter Bit of knowledge there for the next pub quiz

My mpg went down, eg was getting 34.5mpg 2 days with TR on snow now on 31.9mpg.

So yeah you've experienced the same thing.

so i will leave my car the the airport, and not get to play in the snow
