Tapping into the passenger fuse box

Hi

I am currently in the process of finishing off my car computer install, all I have left to do is connect a perminant power source, I was going to connect to the battery, but don't fancy going through the bulk head.

I have read that there should be spare fuses in the pasenger footwell fuse box can any one answer these two questions:

1. Are any of the fuses perminant live?
2. How would I go about connecting a wire to the spare fuese?

Can't remember if there is a permanent live but this might help if you find one;

A permanent live (not through switched ignition) could be taken from FS24, it is unused in the UK market and is reserved for the 'fuel burning heater'.

As said above, use a 'piggy back' for ease but make sure it's a 'mini'.

There is a wee thingy you can buy off the internet for a couple of quid. It replaces any fuse you choose - you fit the fuse you removed into the top if it, and there is a second fuse leading to a wire tail to connect to tour new electrics. No guddling trying to find the right wire connevted to the back of the "spare" fuse. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Thanks guys,

I couldn't source any tailed fuses on a Sunday so decided to take power from the two aux power points, only tempory until the fuses arrive from ebay, just need to test everything worked nicely, any advice on a good ground point in the passenger seat area?

Going to take a connection from FS24 for the perm and one from F5? for the switched live that is used to turn the computer on and off.

There's quite a lot of info on power supplies from fuse box in this topic http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic12741.html . There's a nut just by the fuse box that provides a good earth.
