Crazy that the wiring was not ran where you can access it, as you could then test the plugs in a matter of minutes..... |

But if u go to the effort of getting to them, you may as well change them!! |

Sadly it appears its not that simple on a Freelander.........!! ![]() What I was after was being able to test the plugs in situ.....but it appears that access to the wiring is not easy.... I have just replaced the glow plugs on my L200 pick-up and it took me 15 minutes to test and change them!! The old plugs were only drawing 20amps and they ranged from a resistance of 0.6ohms to a few Meg ohms! Fitted 4 new NGK glow plugs and they now draw 60Amps and it fires up straight away....if only the access to test them in situ on the wife's Freelander was this easy ![]() L200 Warrior Last edited by WarriorBez on 16th Oct 2012 2:14 pm. I totally agree If I did go to the effort of getting to them I would change them all anyway ![]() I was hoping there was a way of testing them in situ but I don't think the wiring is easy to access?? Black FL2 L200 Warrior |

I will have a closer look when the wife is home as I might be able to get my clip on ammeter around the wiring from the fuse/relay at least seeing what the current draw is will give me an idea of how many are working and if this is the issue or not Black FL2 L200 Warrior |
