These clear mats would be great for those with alpaca carpets (who don't wish to use rubber mats to protect their interiors).

You can make them dead easy here in the UK. You can buy that sort of Vinyl in most carpet warehouses as clear carpet protector/ runner by the metre and cut it to size/shape for a couple of quid How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
