Clay shooting lessons

Can any one recommend anywhere in Cumbria for clay shooting lessons? I've seen a few activity places that offer shooting "experiences" but some look more like tourist one off days out, and i'm looking for somewhere with decent instructors for a few lessons, i do attend local shoots, but i think a few hours with a proper instructor will be money well spent.

speak with your local RFD, they might know the local coach to you and put you in contact

Ask on a shooting forum, pigeon watch has always offered me good advice Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Yes it will be money well spent. there is a world of difference between the corporate and funday shoots where they get people to hit a few wobbly slow tagets and a coach who understands correct shooting technique. I can recommend Kelbrooke Shooting school in Lancashire, well established , decent coaching, and also the ability to get your gun fitted to you so it mounts in the right place. Also consider the coach should be able to teach you to suit your requirements, so for real game or fitasc shooting they need to be able to teach shooting gun down, if you only want ot shoot skeet or english sporting gun in your shoulder. Not sure what it costs these days but i'd think 60 or 70 quid a session, but will save you that in wasted ammo in a year Thumbs Up 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

thanks both for the replys Thumbs Up
Gun fitting was something i was also considering, so if they can do lessons and fitting i'll probably give them a ring.
