Yes it will be money well spent. there is a world of difference between the corporate and funday shoots where they get people to hit a few wobbly slow tagets and a coach who understands correct shooting technique. I can recommend Kelbrooke Shooting school in Lancashire, well established , decent coaching, and also the ability to get your gun fitted to you so it mounts in the right place. Also consider the coach should be able to teach you to suit your requirements, so for real game or fitasc shooting they need to be able to teach shooting gun down, if you only want ot shoot skeet or english sporting gun in your shoulder.
