The Avengers

Here's the latest trailer. Love or hate comic book films, this is gonna be a mega movie event of 2012 if not 'THE' movie event of 2012.

Anyone else looking forward to this?

Also looking forward to The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit this year. New Spiderman film out too. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Looks good, but I'll now need to watch Thor and find out who that bloke is with his bow and arrow

Hobbit is the one I'm waiting on this year Thumbs Up

Thor is excellent. I have it on Blu-Ray and the bloke you refer to is Bullseye. Not to be confused with 'let's have a look at what you could have won!' Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I was expecting Emma Peel and Patrick McGoohan when I saw the Avengers, boy was I disappointed! Think your wrong, it's just another fantasy movie.

I am definitely not wrong believe me. It is going to storm the box office after all the build up of the last few movies from Marvel.

The Avengers you referred to would be disappointing! zzzzz LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Sorry, but I can not get interested in American Super Hero Censored . I like gritty real British films or funny films, the one I'm waiting for is " The Sweeny", Ray Winston and Plan B as Regan and Carter, now obviously it will not be as good as the original but I can remember as a 20 year old dashing home from night school at Park Lane Business College in Leeds to get in just in time for the opening music, brilliant , no mobile phones, no computers just , Grasses, Blaggers,Tarts, Guns, 3 litre Granadas, kipper ties and Non PC times..... they must have destroyed every Mk 10 jag in the country,

"We're The Sweeney, son, and we haven't had any dinner. You've kept us waiting, so unless you want a kicking you tell us where those photographs are."

hope the remake is half as good Thumbs Up

Super Heroes ? Regan could stop an armed roberry , shag someone's Mrs, have a couple of extra gunfights and a car chase and be back in time for 10 pints and a " rat and sick" (Chinese meal), well before any of these fantasy boys could even put their spandex tights on Rolling with laughter 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Best Car I ever owned !

2023 Toyota Hilux invincible X 2.8 Auto .

Shame that they will be using the Focus ST where as they had the Granada's, will be similar to what Bodie and Doyle used with Mexico's, the scenes with Regan getting in the passenger seat, window down, slapping the door then having his arm it the window holding the guttering , with his driver behind the wheel, Carter in the back won't be the same in a Focus.

CG The movie.

Tractor chase...hmm, not quite as dramatic I would have thought.

The Sweeney is good but the comic book films are mostly excellent and despite being far fetched they serve the purpose of escapism. As good as the Sweeney film will be, it is no match for The Avengers and Dark Knight Bow down LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Never mind this superhero stuff....I went to see the The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel last night. Film making at it's best, great script and superb acting (Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith, Celia Imre et al) so do yourself a favour and go see it! John

Yes, I went this morning, I have to agree it certainly captures Jaipur and environs very well superbly shot and cast as good as Marigold wedding IMHO
