Thanks for all you help & info guys Will let you know how I get on with the o ring change. May even post a pic of before & after. Never had this prob before on any car, unusual. The old one seemed to crumble & have flat spots to it, when I took out the dipstick. |

"O" rings are just a circular rubber ring for the want of a better word, they are very flexible and will stretch so as long as you get a good tight fit it wont slide down pass the grove and end up in the engine sump.

Agree with service, not surprised though. I was more unhappy about the tyre pressures. Rang dealers back about it, had the usual brush off. Looking forward to writing my letter to head office on Monday, regarding lack of spare wheel. Not ringing them back again about it, as I've already done that twice. I will get the spare wheel, just going to take a while longer. Now going to buy myself a 3 ton scissor jack to go with the spare & a high lift trolley jack to keep in garage. I have a trolley jack, that won't lift high enough On a whole very happy with the landy. Had alot of cash spent on it by the previous owner at dealers, New rear disc's & pads, rear handbrake spacers (I think that's what you call them). 4 new tyres. Rear brake light cluster, failed MOT, due to steaming up All within the last 5 months. As soon as I've bought another trolley jack, will inspect front pad's & disc's. I'm impressed by the pulling power of the engine from 3rd up to 5th gear, as it's a heavy lump to pull around. |

I use a 3 ton trolley jack and it works great lifting the car with ease. Just remember if your going to remove the road wheels and or go under the car do make sure its properly supported. Its realy not worth taking a chance on on one jack |

True, would never work underneath one. Two trolley jacks good for swapping over two wheels quickly too. On my other car that is, as onw won't lift high enough |
