One click fault on electric windows

I don't know if this is common knowledge but here goes,

I had a problem with my electric windows, they would open fully with one click, but the one click function to close them stopped working.

When it was in for the clutch I asked the workshop manager, his reply" it's a common problem, it needs reprogramming"

And this is how you do it,

Pull the switch until the window closes fully and you hear a clunk noise, then release the switch then pull it again twice more until the clunk noise. The window will now one click open and shut. Wink

Like I say it might be common knowledge but it was news to me!
Thumbs Up

It was because they disconnected the battery to do the clutch. I would have thought that they should have done it for you after they re-connected the battery! John

He reckoned that it can happen at anytime and that's the fix but maybe he was just covering his mistake, at least the info is here if anyone needs it
