The life of the car, not the life of the driver... Although could be the later too, if you don't live too much... Car's life is aprox. 10 year and/or 150.000 miles (240.000 km). After this period, LR said you should change the ATF oil. Too much in my opinion.... BUT... Changing the oil, without changing the filter is of little use... The impurities have been already retained by the filter so changing the oil will mean to change a fluid with another, the new fluid having the same hard time passing through a clogged filter. And the filter can be changed only if you dismantle the box. Of course, the new fluid will withstand much better the conditions as the old one is already loosing its qualities, but... |

Alex : ...seems that on newer cars you should divide these numbers by two...
