How do you set the seat memory? Nothing in the handbook I have. |

If you have the standard handbook, you'll find what you're looking for at page 50...

I take it that you still have the black SE - it doesn't have the memory function - just the power seats. |

Wonder if it could be enabled via diagnostics? Probably just flipping a bit on the CEM config is all it requires Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

Moved on from the SE, now got the HSE. It's brilliant, just that the wife wants to drive it, she is 5ft 2ins and I am 6ft 3ins. |

AFAIK memory seats are 8 way adjustable while normal electric seats are 6 way adjustable. Vehicles with memory seats also have dipping door mirrors when reverse is selected. Different seat controls on memory and non-memory seats and as such don't think it is possible to enable via diagnostics.

The drivers side seat has three buttons numbered 1 2 3, which are in addition to the adjustment buttons. |

If you have the 'Memory' button close to the other buttons, adjust the seat and mirrors until your happy with them, including the auto dip when in reverse if you have it! press the memory button and one of the numbered choices "from memory I think the ignition has to be on with the display active" within a few seconds of each other and if you've done it right, you should hear a ping notifying you the position is stored in memory. |
