Here are a couple of signs that you guys you should try and visit if you are ever in the Dalwhinnie/Laggan/Fort Augustus area of the Cairngorms

A Freelander2 would be able to cope easily with the first 10-12 miles of the road and get to play with the rock crawl setting of their TR, but the next 2miles a Freelander would struggle on.

I took my FFRR over the pass in November 2002 and then my Def90 went over it in May 2003. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

Waffle boards are much cheaper and are more versatile as you can use them in mud and sand as well as on rocks, unlike TR's rock crawl which is only any use on rocks! You probably have enough ground clearance to get up the ruined cobbled bit and the TC will do the rest for you.
If anybody fancies an Easter run up there in comapny with my RRSport let me know - if the weather is nice it's a great day out, and if you have a mountian bike or like hill walking it's a fantastic route - but it is also a 32 mile there and back trip on the Military Road with the car as you cannot go all the way over to Ft Augustus these days without a key to the gate - bikers and walkers can just climb over that. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
