United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Baltic Blue

Yes, the Freelander 2 auto has a torque converter. I guess it depends on expectations from an auto are, but for me having 3 options of std, sport or command shift is enough.

Fuel economy is hitting 39 on a run right now, and around town I am seeing 31-33 depending on how I drive which isnt too bad really.

Biggest benefit for me is that I have been driving manuals for the last 30 years over many 000s of miles and finally my left knee and hip are getting a well deserved rest - Priceless in my book Smile

Anyhow, maybe we are going a little off topic I guess, so to bring it back in line, how do resale values on manuals vs autos look, and are there any differences in the discounts dealers are offering between the two? 2012 DISCOVERY 4 GS AUTO ORKNEY GREY

England 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Fuji White

Well I couldn’t resist and I’ve bought a new TD4 XS manual with HSE alloys including spare, leather pack, design pack, privacy glass and some other bits which came to a little under £33k.

Discounted to £28k.

The part exchange was the sticking point but after matching the Parker’s guide and beating the glass’ guide I couldn’t resist any longer. My GS depreciated by £10k from the price I paid new 3 years ago. That is about 42% which is a lot less than the 50% in a year being suggested on another thread!

I’ll post some pictures when the car is delivered later this month Thumbs Up A Land Rover owner since 1988

I never gave my user name a thought!

How about 'easilypersuaded' or 'thenegotiator'.

They don't call them TD4-e as it gets confuced with the 2WD

I'm sure Mr Pinks will let me know how its done or I could keep the one that has served me well for 3 years A Land Rover owner since 1988

Well here it is ……………….. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

A near HSE spec XS for GS money. I can’t stop smiling. My 10MY GS was good but this is something different. I clearly hadn’t taken any notice of the refinements in the 11MY and 12MY.

I’ll put some more in the My FL2 when I get a chance.
