Does TR affect gear change (auto)?

I have been pondering about the TR settings and from reading posts on the forum, I can see that it alters the throttle response, traction control and what percentage of the power is split between front and back.

So my question is: Do any of the modes affect when the auto box will change up or down (to any notable degree at least)? 60 plate SD4 XS, Stornoway Grey, Arm rest pack

Sand mode will holding to the gears much longer - I know that much.

I imagine it would be similar in the other modes but do t know to what extent. Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

There's very little info on it, have a read at this there's a couple of paragraphs regarding the 'Auto' but not in great detail. (Page 3)

Thanks for that Thumbs Up Quite an interesting read. I didn't know how involving all the changes were, just by turning a dial! 60 plate SD4 XS, Stornoway Grey, Arm rest pack

Simple answer is yes.
In Grass Gravel Snow it will start in 2nd gear and change up early to minimise loss of traction.
In Mud Ruts it will start in 1sr and hold 1st if minimal throttle is used it will change up late and down early for max torque and engine braking.
In Sand changes up later and down earlier to deliver maximum power to the wheels.

A visit to your local Land Rover Experience Centre will reveal all.
