EGR - 2 stroke connection

Hello All,

I often read the posts but rarely post myself but after reading the problems some of you were having with the judder/hesitation at 1900rpm I thought it worth my time.

I recently started having the same issue where my freely started to get the dreaded judder just before 2000rpm. It started at about 20,000 miles and gradually got worse so i decided to get 30,000 mile service done early (25,500) and tell the dealer about it.

Obviously they had never heard of the EGR issue and when I went to pick it up they said they had found nothing.

On the way home (with the judder still present) I decided to try the two stoke oil fix that I read here somewhere. I added 250ml of two stroke to my tank and then filled up.

Since that day I haven't had a single judder. Does anyone know if there could be a connection?

Cheers,

Crabeye.

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Baltic Blue

Don't know about juddering but a lot of people on the Disco3.co.uk forum swear by 2 stroke but benefits seem to be quieter engine, less smoke and in some cases better economy, just started using it myself. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

English by birth..... Yorkshire by the grace of God.

Just found this. Mine had the same problem but has now gone since using two stroke.
