That's OK - apparently 80% are exported anyway, so we shan't have to stare at too many of them. You're right though - it's hideous. |

The one that's in front of you - napalm the beggar And only yesterday we were traveling up the Waggithal so that my two ladies could go for a dip in the alpine lake and there it was - the jovial Dutchman towing his caravan along the lakeshore road. The are no camping/caravan sites up this mountain at all. The road is in poor condition, very narrow, undulating and single track upon which it is illegal to tow anything unless it's agricultural machinery Someone beat me to the mobile and yes this Dutchman's humour was rapidly wiped off his face at the end of the road, where, the local plod were waiting with their book of Swiss road signs and a huge fine. |

Sutton bank is pretty steep and fairly long, but I thinks its more due to the sharp bend 1/4 way up causing drivers to slow and loose their momentum.

People do drive up it very slowly. And the trucks will get stuck if they miss a gear. But I thought the caravan limitation was because of the bend at the bottom going DOWN. Any snaking could be really nasty. Caravans are light and seem to go out of line easily. I've been up and down it with a loaded four-wheel trailer behind a Disco TDi and a Sherpa, and had no problem whatsoever Never towed a 'van CG, but I understand they can be a bit different. |
