Particularly bad across Yorkshire today. Makes me very glad to be a Land Rover owner once again. I know it's infrequent that we actually 'need' them for on-road travel but I still wouldn't be without it.

Garage is flooded but that's cause the rear of it is still piled high with junk causing the rain water to back up in stead of drain away, but nothing major

Aberdeen beautiful and sunny today, but be warned, if you get stuck trying to drive through a flood your insurance can refuse to payout as it will be deemed as "self inflicted" damage. ______________________

personally I think it's a bit stupid to drive through a flooded road unless you have no choice.

That,s why Mrs M always wades through it first with her trusty L/R umbrella testing the depth first.. ![]() If it goes over the top of her waders, we find another way round ..!! ![]() Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper. (And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! ) Sd4 and chrome Ar*e piece, Auto box for best fun 09 Xs Gone 12 xs Gone HSE with Leather seats and 4 years warrenty.. staying for now ! |

....fair enough, if you're on a road you don't know then you can't have any idea of how deep it is or what's lying under the surface. Howeever, on a road you know I'm still amazed at how many people can fail to negotiate a puddle only a couple of inches deep.

Come to Cornwall Lovely day today, played golf in the morning and gardening in the afternoon. Some rain, not excessive, warming up nicely but not really summer yet |

another prob with floods is the holes left by missing manhole covers that you cant see under the water. |

very good point as they usually are lifted off by the surge.

Ah! A new name for itinerent metal thieves. "My D3 spare wheel was stolen by The Surge" does sound a bit nicer than some of the descriptions I have heard! Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |
