Did you have some discount - as they are showing up as £522 for me on their website - checked Leeds and Liverpool postcodes Confused

Have you compared them to dedicated winter tyres?

Just wondering what to expect when / if the snow falls...

Done lots of research, spoken to numerous people and these tyres will breeze through the snow!

The only differents with winter tyres would be stopping!

They were very god in the deep snow, just make sure you have the terrian respnce set before you set off.

I use Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme tyres in the winter and GG ATs rest of year. My ATs are getting a bit low on tread so will need some more for next spring - no rush as Wintracs will be going on sometime next month. This has proven an ideal combination and my FL2 has never got stuck (mud, grass or snow) with weekly runs over the Pennines and treks over fields throughout the year irrespective of the weather. paddockspares are doing winter specific tyres for the LR2 from the same company, around a hundred quid a corner I think, and they ship all over europe with no problem at all.. Always call in your order to make sure they have stock to avoid disappointment in delay though!

I have just fitted a set of General Grabber A/T I paid less than £115 a corner with no mates rates or discounts. They seem to be quieter than the Wranglers I had fitted. Quite an aggressive looking tread pattern but I have no intention of going on the brown stuff but should be good on the white stuff!!

I wont be able to tell you, as they are not approved here as a winter tyre, even though the AT2 is? (I suppose because it has holes for studs)

I bought my Grabbers at Bracknell tyre and battery. They don't hold them in stock but get them in next day. If you are close to AJS one of site sponsors give them a chance to match the price.

Good tyres, great off rd even towing a trailer full of wood. They just claw in and clean easily. Bit noisier on rd than the original wranglers. Just a pleasant rumble.

Following thorough reading, seems the 17" rims limit the choice/up the price somewhat. Found myself either General Grabber AT 235/70/16 fitted for £111 a corner, or the BF Goodrich AT 235/70/16 for £130 (via BlackCircles).
Happy with that Cool
Now to decide on which make. ???
Wouldn't it be easier though if Land Rover stuck with the conventional stud patterns for the FL2, then we'd all be able to get a cheap set of 16" modulars for winter! Previous Series III, Defender, Discovery 300 and TD5 owner.
