I think what Big_al is trying to say is, not many people buy a Land Rover for the fuel economy.

Not sure you are right there Dave! I had a TD5 Defender for 10 years before the FL2. The Defender did 26mpg and the FL2 does 38 (40 on a run).....seems like fuel economy to me and my bank balance! On a more serious note I think you will find that the only fuel economy device that really works is a light right foot.
