Scuff mark/scratch on non leather steering wheel

Caught the wheel with my watch strap today. A mere glancing blow but enough to produce a scuff/scratch right at the top of the wheel.

Now, I recall buying a focus years ago that had a very badly scuffed steering wheel and I demanded repair or replacement before purchase. They repaired it and all was like new again.

My question is, there must be something out there that masks these minor scuffs etc, so do you guys have any recommendations? Don't hit the wheel with your watch and get OCD counselling notwithstanding Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Nice thought but the wheel isn't quite as black as the shoe polish. In fact the wheel is more of a dark grey than black Rolling Eyes

Grey shoe polish then Laughing

I believe there are companies out there that do smart repairs on things like this, but how much that would be I don't know, doesn't Dunroof have one for sale, I think I read in a recent post

I've used some of this stuff on scratches I had on my wing mirror and glove box - worked well for me !
Just be careful if you use the abrasive sand paper (ultra fine grade) for deeper scrathes - it will end up smooth ! I ended up with a shiny lower portion on the nearside wing mirror - so had to polish the drivers side to match ! (looks good though !) Wink
