Didn't the early HSE's have eight position seats, IIRC they changed in 2009 Question my 07 HSE had them with the Alpaca Leather, and this one has but it is the Windsor Leather on this one.

I contacted my local land rover dealer heres the reply

Thank you for your email regarding your Freelander 2 se. Unfortunately this is not a viable proposition as we are not allowed to change the vehicle from its original specification. In theory if you were to change all the parts( full wiring loom, seat switches, seat surrounds etc etc ) the memory would still not work as the body control module would still be coded for your original vehicle build spec so would not recognise that memory seats are fitted. If you require memory seats the only option I can see is to change your vehicle for an HSE that has the memory seats fitted. I am sorry if this is not the answer that you were wanting, however if you wish to enquire about a replacement vehicle that has memory seats fitted please contact our sales department

So I'm stuffed.
