Magifoam foam lance

Is a Magifoam foam lance and dispenser essential to obtain the foaming effect? I have a Stihl Pressure Washer which came with a detergent dispenser. Does anyone know if this will suffice?

Probably not to the Stihl dispenser, I was bought a karcher detergent dispenser which "sort of" works.
The Venturi in the magifoam lance creates a thick foam that sticks to the car, others produce a very wet solution that runs off too quickly. I have experimented with mine and it is definately the Venturi that needs to be perfect.

You should get some foam using the detergent dispenser, but it may not be thick enough to cling and dwell on the car. The foam lance has a special nozzle that gives the correct Air/Foam mix and should produce a good thick foam. You can also adjust it to give the level of foam your after

I use a Katcher Presure washer and a Foam Lance, it produces a thick foam as in the photo below, this is after a good 10 - 15 minutes of dwell

Rolling Eyes toeknee, too much solvent in the silver paint, a little bit goes a long way is false economy when spraying your car a proper colour.
