Anyone used this company 'buyacamera'

Looking at a new camera and best price I have found for the twin lens kit is buyacamera

Looks ok, a quick search didn't bring much up, except they maybe grey import on a some items

Is that a bad thing?

You won't get warranty support with a grey import.

Try lots before you buy, if it doesn't feel right you will never like it.

Tony likes his, it feels like a pint pot Laughing

Think I'm heading towards a local camera shop to try them out, but these are my best options do far, the Nikon felt ok earlier when I tried it

Nikon d3100 with either two options

A two lens option 18-55vr & 55-200vr
http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/6865201/ar...?srcid=369

Or a 18-105vr single lens option which comes with card and basic bag for a little bit more
http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/9017076/ar...-vr-l.html

Thinking the second one will be a good starter, goes from 18 and up to 105, so not as powerful zoom as the other option, not needing to swap lens over, till I'm better, but a new lens in time might then be purchased to give greater options

Need to read up on dslr camera shoots so I find out what all the buttons and settings do Embarassed

@npinks

I have used Pixmania in the past for a Panasonic camera and the price was keen and delivery was ok too. However, as they are based in France the instruction manual I received was in French and the plug for the battery charger had to be fitted with an adaptor. It is easy enough to download a manual off the internet and I might just have been unlucky.

Nick I looked at the Panasonic G3, it gets good reviews and is handy as it has a viewfinder, in the end I went for the GF3 which I think is the smaller brother to the G3, I've only had a few days, but did my homework before, it's just the right size and I'm now thinking of getting the 45-200mm lens for it ( was going to get it, then thought better, then thought might as well) Laughing

The hardest bit is getting used to RAW images and using photo shop, but think I will now understand it better, thanks to a conversation this evening Thumbs Up

And of course you know I got £20 off in store Laughing
