United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

I must admit I have no idea what all the Kick down issue is all about !

I think I have used kick down once or twice at the most in 4 years, firstly because it didn't work for the first three years ! and then it was just the novelty but didn't really ever find the need to use it.

I have never had the problem of it being in the wrong gear and never struggled to overtake as it does it with so little effort. ( Better to use the torque than revs )

The biggest problem with an auto for you guys that drive a loan car is the fact that auto's have adaptive learning, so when you get hold of one for a few days its normally already been driven by many other people with different styles so tend not to suit your driving style.

Mine rarely goes over 2250 rpm even when towing never over 25-2800 as never found the need. Gear changes are superb and so smooth and take off is just great. No hunting and never feels like its in the wrong gear. I Don't use manual mode except when towing and descending in the Alps with 1800KG or van on the rear.
For all its faults in the past including gearbox I cannot fault the ratio's or selections when driving. definitley smoother than all the SD TD4's I have had as loan cars even for long periods

The 8 speeder is very well thought of on the D3/D4 forums Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

English by birth..... Yorkshire by the grace of God.
