Clyde Muirshiel Park

Anybody know if this area has any good locations for photographs, possibly sunset shots
Spending a couple of nights in Glasgow and it looks like it may be a decent spot to get some pics, as I am alone Big Cry might be worth a ride out, only 45 mins away.

Any local knowledge will be appreciated, round Loch Thom perhaps, or are there better spots?

Cheers Thumbs Up

Taz

Once saw a great photo of a car with a massive pile rusting chains in the background, the chain links were nearly the size of the car, setting sun gave the orange glow on the car with the rusting background made it look really good

Fine some chains, wait and snapp away, surely some rusty chains somewhere in Glasgow Whistle

Not far from a Missile site I once worked at, Freelander flanked by a pair of Tridents with the setting sun would be cool..........always had my camera taken off me though and a friendly reminder of the papers I signed Laughing so I doubt they would let me for pictures to be posted ont' tinternet.

Some cranes in Glasgow but not sure if you can get close, they may be OK.

Come on peeps, get out togging, great skies this week Thumbs Up

As I'm in the highlands next week I'll snap away hopefully and post up a comp photo on return.

If you drive north towards Gourock, you have a chance of getting a Sub coming down the Gare Loch. Or, you could drive southwest towards Girvan and get Ailsa Craig in with the sun? (the place where they get granite for curling stones, although I remember there being a lot of average speed cameras there)

Head to Troon and you will get yourself some Kitesurfers in the sunset if the wind is on : )

EY, sun setting about 22:00hrs, skies light until about 23:30 sun rises about 04:30 sky getting light from about 02:30 so we are only getting about 3-4 hrs darness at the moment unfortunatly we are expecting a cloudier sky by the weekend but the local forecast said last night that it would be cloudy with a high of just 12.c today. its now 07:00 and the sky is cloudless and it is already up to 14.c so it will be cooler but it will still be pleasant so anything could happen by the weekend. Dont know how far north you are going but in the far north, Bettyhill, Thurso & Dunnet head areas there has been some fantastic sunsets not been up there myself recently though, been mostly in Lochinver, Clashnessie area, well worth a visit if you have not been before Thumbs Up
