New to me 2008 LR2

Here's a couple pic's of the new to me 2008 i6 petrol LR2. Tried a dirt road close to home and first thing I saw was the grader near the entrance. Fresh gravel and nicely graded, not what I was looking for. Regardless the LR2 showed me that is plenty capable. First thing on the list is a good set of AT rated tires.

Yes. I heard that the Tambora Flame is the best and the fastest..... Laughing

AT Tires on order:

Following up on forum members recommendation I ordered a set of General Grabbers AT2's in the 255/60-R18 size. They are marginally wider (255mm vs 235mm) and a bit taller (763mm vs 739mm) than stock but current users claim no problems and great performance off road and in snow and ice. They'll be here in 7-10 days.

I will prepare an update after I install them and use them later this summer. Already signed in for a Land Rover experience event at the Biltmore in north Carolina for august 29th. Thumbs Up Can't wait.

LOVE the color!

Please update us on how the AT2s handle on U.S. roads. I'd be interested in finding out for myself. Although for my particular off-road application (soft sand) bald tires tend to be best. Mr. Green

The AT2s should be amazing, though. I drove through some deep mud (unplanned... a massive truck installing dock pilings was blocking an exit and I took matters into my own hands) today, and she performed beautifully on the stock Contis. CAR HISTORY

Not yet. Tires arrived a few days back and I will install them next month after I run the ones on it now for a couple more thousand miles and right after a Land Rover experience event I plan to attend to in August. But I will post pics and a full tire evaluation soon after I try them.
