YES - Press the A/C button (situated bottom right below the middle AUTO dial and the right HEATED SEAT dial) on the cenre console. Press once to switch on and the light illuminates, and once again to switch off - light goes out.

All this is explained and illustrated in the Owner's Manual Rolling Eyes

Check other things like the air filter, engines prefer cold dense air for power, hot weather can lead to a decrease in performance too.

The wind, currently, is coming from the East, passing over Yorkshire first, it is possible that they have left very little in it Rolling Eyes

Taz - mostly what comes over from Yorkshire in any direction N.S.E. or W., is usually contaminated with shed loads of hot air otherwise known in common parlance as bulls**t. And will all know that faeces impair the efficiency of an A/C system.

Definitely a problem, ours has never felt sluggish or different for that matter.

With the torque of the 2.2 in the FL there shouldn't be a noticeable differece. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Never noticed air con make any difference, my SD4 in this current heat is not happy, hesitant, lumpy and a couple of times almost stalled coming to a halt.

To much Werkstat, on it, it will be getting in the fuel tank and the vapours will be getting drawn in to the Air Filter Whistle

Air con is most economical ay 65mph + anything less than that i tend to open the windows and sunroof unless its raining lol. When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

Can never have too much of a good thing AD, Werkstat keeps it slippy.
Filled up last week for the first time in 25000 miles with BP, wasn't happy at all, couple of tanks of Shell and it's sweet again Thumbs Up
It was weird as I came to a halt and was having to struggle to keep it from going forward, it was trying not to stall and fighting against me, unless the gearbox was playing silly bug Censored ers?

DISCLAIMER
I have no commercial links with Werkstat Acrylic Jett. Wish I had though, might get a discount Laughing

I dont notice any difference in power or economy if the air con is on or off, the only difference I get is the start stop doesn't stay off as long at the lights with the ac on.
