Streaming Audio From HTC to Alpine Stereo Via Bluetooth

Hi;

I have a Landrover Freelander 2 which has an "AlpineŽ branded audio system, with radio and single slot CD player, MP3 disc compatibility, 8 x 40W amplifier, auxiliary input and 9 speakers".

I have connected my HTC Desire HD via Bluetooth to use it through the in car telephone system.

My question is - is it possible to play music on my phone through the cars audio via Bluetooth.

I have managed to pair the phone with the car and when I play music on my phone it gives an option to play via the car audio but nothing happens.

Is the car Alpine System not capable or is it the software on my phone.

Thanks

I have a feeling it's not capable of playing music through a bluetooth link.
I think the only way is via the auxillary input socket (by the rear power socket behind handbrake) which will allow you to play music but not change tracks through the steering wheel controls.

I suspect than the next upgrade of Freelander 2 will bring it into line with the rest of the range and give us bluetooth connectivity.

You need to use this device to hear music by bluetooth, using AUX input. Smile
