2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black
HST or HSE?? which one is it???

Can someone help me solve a dilemma please? I do not know what model my car is ( Yes- I'm a girl- but please read further!)

It has only come up as I was think of trading it in for a newer model. Registration docs say F/L 2 TD4 HSE, however it appears to either be an HST or have been fitted with an HST bodykit and sports styling pack (lamp gaurds and side steps).
I thought that the HST was only available from March '08, but my car was first registered 19/12/06 and purchased by me through a dealer in july '09.
Can anyone help solve this mystery ( to me anyway)?? Thanks in advance Rolling Eyes

The 'base' car will be an HSE but it seems that at sometime in it's life before you got it, someone fitted an HST bodykit which is lower door panels, different lower valance at the front and rear and grill. Not sure about light guards etc as anycar car has those fitted by a dealer (or self fit).
Thumbs Up

Thanks! that's clearer now Smile Still not sure if worth trading up for what the dealer offered. The only issue with the car is constant minor leak of transmission fluid - might be better the devil you know. They've taken it apart three times and 'fixed it'. It's going back in next week - fourth time lucky ( and no I'm not paying for the work)!

If you have front armrests then it is defo a HSE with bodykit. I think the bodykit was available from 2007 as an accessory. I had a 2008 FL2 HSE and had the bodykit fitted which made my FL2 quite a rare sight - until LR introduced the HST a few months later and loads of bodykitted FL2's appeared! Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black
Gone - 2014 BMW X3 M Sport Space Grey, faultless!
Gone - 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Bali Blue with xenons
Gone - 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Rimini Red with bodykit
