has anyone got real world mpg figures for the 2.2 vs 3.2

the budget has now changed probably go to around 15k.. we want leather, no dpf (pre 2009?) not sure on auto or manual - jury seems out on that one

preferable need a dealer as we need to dispose of the xtype

so back on the lookout again

DPF came out in 2010 so any pre face lift model is what you want if the DPF concerns you.

On a search of Autotrader, for Freelanders under 5 years old, there are 1,873 diesels and 5 petrols nationwide! You'll be so restricted in choice of petrols that I might discount them from the start.

Mind you, you could always go and try one out near you:

linky doesn't work, but there is one at available car sutton on ashfield... I think i have pretty much discounted the petrol due to fuel and insurance.

is there much difference between auto and manual? I noticed there is a thread about clutch/dmf going at 68k at the mo, is this a rare occurance? we had to have a new auto box in the disco last christmas so could do with the safe transmission choice... cheers
