It is amazing in this day and age that people will go watch a so called sport that has an established record of killing horses, if it was dogs, or bears, or badgers dieing it would be illegal. The National is well past its sell by date IMHO 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Have to agree that it seems wrong to run a race that delivers dead horses year after year. I'm not one for 'elf'n'safety' but for creatures that don't have a say (ie gee gees) it's another story. They can't make an informed choice. It's proper upsetting. ...

I saw the horse and owner on the local news last night. My comment at the time was that if I had any feeling for the animal I would not enter it in that race. Very sad. Sad 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

yes it is sad, but strange how the riderless horses still run and jump the fences ?

wonder if they enjoy it ? but suppose it's in their breeding.

The horsey brigade claim it shows that they enjoy it.

However it is a combination of total training they will go over a jump if they see one and the ultrastrong herd instinct, thats where all the other horses are going so that where the riderless horse will go. Prog rock is cool! Smile
